Privacy Policy
Preliminary. These terms are under legal review and may be updated before paid plans open. Questions: [email protected].
This Privacy Policy explains how Jason Brents, doing business as Freshet ("Freshet," "we," "us"), located at 2611 Willowdale Dr., El Dorado Hills, CA 95762, collects, uses and shares personal information about visitors to getfreshet.com, subscribers to our emails, and customers of the Freshet app (together, the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Signup details: your name, email address, and the role you choose (for example, wholesaler, flipper, landlord or agent). You may also give us a company name, the markets or ZIP codes you care about, and your buy-box preferences.
- Messages: what you send us by email or through support, including underwriting requests.
- Payment details: handled by Stripe, Inc. When you pay, Stripe collects your card details, billing name and billing address. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us limited information such as the card brand, last four digits, expiry date, billing country and postal code, and payment status.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: when you visit, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested and timestamps to deliver and protect the site.
- Approximate location: we use your IP address to derive your country (and, where needed for tax, your state). We do not collect precise geolocation.
- Usage data: Basic, cookie-free page-view counts through Cloudflare Web Analytics. Whether you open emails or click links in them, through our email service provider.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers (other than as processed by Stripe), or information about race, religion, health or other sensitive characteristics, and we ask you not to send them.
2. How we use it
- To create and run your account, deliver the Service, and send the emails and alerts you signed up for.
- To process payments, prevent fraud, and calculate and collect any required taxes.
- To respond to support requests and underwriting requests.
- To enforce seat limits, prevent account sharing and scraping, and secure the Service.
- To understand which features are used so we can improve them.
- To send service notices, such as billing receipts, renewal reminders and changes to our terms.
- To send product news or offers, if you have not opted out.
- To comply with law and protect our rights.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
3. How we share it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers who process it for us under contract: Stripe (payments and billing), Kit (ConvertKit) (email delivery), Cloudflare (hosting, security and content delivery), Cloudflare Email Routing (support email).
- Professional advisors, such as accountants and lawyers, under duties of confidentiality.
- Authorities, when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of anyone.
- A successor, if our business is reorganized (for example, into a new company), merged or sold, subject to this policy.
4. Cookies and local storage
We keep cookies to a minimum.
- Essential cookies: used to keep you signed in and to protect the site from abuse (Cloudflare may set security cookies).
- Local storage in the app: the app saves your saved deals, hidden deals and buy-box settings in your own browser so they persist on your device. That information stays on your device unless you are signed in and we sync it to your account.
- Stripe: Stripe sets cookies on checkout and billing pages for fraud prevention. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- No advertising cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies or pixels.
You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop sign-in from working. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of sale and sharing, although we do not sell or share personal information.
5. Emails
If you sign up for the free weekly email or a paid plan, we send email through Kit (ConvertKit). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and our postal address. You can unsubscribe at any time; we will honor it within 10 business days. Paid subscribers will still receive transactional and account emails, such as receipts and alerts they have configured. We do not send text messages unless you separately opt in to SMS alerts, and you can reply STOP to end them.
6. How long we keep it
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account and profile details | While your account is open, then up to [24] months after it closes, unless you ask us to delete them sooner |
| Free email subscribers | Until you unsubscribe; we then keep your email address only on a suppression list so we do not email you again |
| Billing and tax records | 7 years, to meet tax and accounting obligations |
| Support messages | Up to [24] months after the conversation ends |
| Server and security logs | Up to [90] days, unless needed to investigate abuse |
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), payment handling by a PCI-compliant processor, access controls, and multi-factor authentication on our service accounts. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
8. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, "CCPA"), may give you these rights, subject to exceptions:
- Know and access: the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we use it, and who we disclose it to.
- Delete: ask us to delete personal information we collected from you.
- Correct: ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you may still ask.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not collect sensitive personal information for purposes that would require this right.
- Non-discrimination: we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (we may extend this by another 45 days if needed, and will tell you why).
To protect you, we verify requests by matching the email address on your account, and we may ask for more information. 10. Property data in the Service
The Service contains information about real properties that comes from public government records, such as parcel records, code enforcement records, condemnations, tax status and recorded sales, along with scores and estimates we calculate. We do not display the names of owners who are individuals. Where an owner is a business entity, we may show its name. We do not provide telephone numbers or email addresses for individual owners.
If you believe the Service shows information about you that you would like reviewed, email [email protected] with the property address, and we will review your request.

The Service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes and contact
